Black Foundation of Community Networks (BFCN) 14th Annual Scholarships Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for the 2025-2026 14th Annual Black Foundation of Community Networks (BFCN) Scholarships. The BFCN scholarships and awards were created to recognize outstanding Black students with bright futures as upcoming leaders and dreamers in their communities.

This year, BFCN will be awarding four $1000 scholarships to qualifying students pursuing education at an accredited Canadian University or College in September 2025. Two scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students and two scholarships will be awarded to graduate students.

Selection Criteria
Must be a Black student
Must be graduating high school or CEGEP in June 2025 and attending an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution in September 2025 to pursue undergraduate education on a full-time or part-time basis OR must be currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing undergraduate or graduate education on a full-time or part-time basis
Must demonstrate financial need
Must demonstrate community involvement and support
Must demonstrate leadership qualities

How to Apply
Complete and submit the online Google Form application
E-mail copies of applicable supporting documents (i.e. proof of acceptance and/or enrollment, a headshot photo, and/or an official transcript) to info@bfcn.ca by July 31st 2025. Ensure that the email subject heading is: BFCN Annual Scholarships 2025-2026: YOUR FIRST NAME YOUR LAST NAME

Selection Process
Successful scholarship recipients will be selected by the BFCN Scholarship Committee based on the above criteria. The recipients will be contacted by the end of 2025 and the funds will be directly awarded via e-Transfer in February 2026. Online applications along with all supporting documents must be received no later than July 31st 2025. Please note that only successful recipients will be contacted.
