Work Study
Winter 2025
Work Study financially supports part-time and full-time Sheridan student employment positions for eligible domestic and international students. Students must apply for Work Study each term and will be considered for one position each term.
International Co-op/Internship Work Study funding is now exhausted for the Winter 2025 term. Additional applications will not be considered
Eligibility Requirements
You must be registered in a Sheridan post-secondary program and demonstrate financial need.
The Financial Aid & Awards Office offers two Work Study options:
Co-op/Internship employment: You must meet one of the following enrolment criteria:
- Be completing a Co-op/Internship term with a Sheridan employer and have academic enrolment in the terms prior to and after the full-time employment term.
- Domestic students who are enrolled in a Co-op/Internship term and have been granted an enrolment exception must meet the definition of an Ontario resident as determined by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).
Part-time employment: You must meet one of the following enrolment criteria:
- Be actively enrolled in a study term, or
Be between regularly scheduled academic terms with enrolment in the terms prior and subsequent to the part-time employment term.
The deadline to submit your application is February 2, 2025, or once funding is exhausted for the term.

When will I know the outcome of my application?
Applications will be reviewed within two weeks of submission.
Can an application be re-submitted?
If your Work Study application is denied, you may reply to the decision email and request an opportunity to review and update your application.
How do I complete the budget portion of this application?
You will need to download, save, and complete each section of the budget template that is hyperlinked within the applicable application question. If a section does not apply to you, enter “0”.
There are maximums in place for some categories. If you can provide evidence that your expenses exceed the maximum, please contact Melissa Thompson, Student Awards and Work Study Coordinator at workstudy@sheridancollege.ca
What are my next steps?
Visit Sheridan Works to get started applying for on-campus jobs. You will need to upload your Work Study Approved email as a supporting document along with your resume, cover letter, etc., to any position you are applying to.
