The James Bailey Architect Award for Continuing Education in Architecture.

James Bailey, a former full-time faculty member in Sheridan’s Architectural Technology program and Toronto-based architect, has generously created this bursary to support Sheridan graduates who have the intension of continued education in a Professional Degree in Architecture.

The James Bailey Architect Award for Continuing Education in Architecture bursary will award 2-3 qualified applicants.

Eligibility Criteria;
- Must be in the final year of the Architectural Technology or Technician program and intend to continue their studies as a full-time student in their first degree.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person and have resided in Ontario for 12 consecutive months prior to studying at Sheridan
- If you were a recipient of OSAP, please indicate the last year you received OSAP
- If you did not receive OSAP, please include a copy of your Ontario High School transcript or a copy of the address portion of your Tax Notice of Assessment.
- Student must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA 2.5
- Students must write a short essay about your passion about the architectural profession and your desire to further your education in architecture.

Renewal opportunity:
- The recipient(s) of the James Bailey Architect Award for Continuing Education in Architecture will be eligible to re-apply annually for the duration of their enrollment in their First Degree in an Architectural program, according to the following criteria:
- Applicant must continue to be enrolled full-time in their first degree.
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need
- Applicant must demonstrate a cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Applicant must provide a short summary of their educational experience during each year of study.
