Schulich Builders Scholarship

Schulich Builders Scholarships are awarded to students enrolling in an eligible full-time skilled trades program at a participating college in Ontario.

As a partnering College, Sheridan will award 10 Schulich Builders Scholarships:

Five (5) $20,000 Schulich Builders Scholarships to students enrolled in one-year certificate programs
Five (5) $40,000 Schulich Builders Scholarships to students enrolled in two-year diploma programs

Criteria:

Canadian citizen / Permanent Resident
Demonstrate financial need
Enrolled full-time in one of the listed programs
Willing to act as an ambassador to promote the skill trades and the Schulich Builders Scholarship in high schools and to the wider community.
A minimum of one (1) reference letter is required from an individual who is directly connected with the applicant (e.g., a high school staff member, employer, co-worker or community service organization). The reference letter should detail the applicants strong work ethic and character.

1 Year programs:

Mechanical Techniques – Plumbing
Mechanical Techniques – CNC & Precision Machining
Electrical Techniques
Welding Techniques

2 Year programs:

Plumbing Technician
Mechanical Technician – CNC & Precision Machining
Electrical Engineering Technician
Welding and Fabrication Technician

Important dates:
June 15: Payment of the $250 non-refundable tuition deposit must be made by this date to avoid cancellation of both the Offer of Admission and scholarship.
June 28: Schulich Builders Scholarship applications due.
July 31: Scholarship recipients announced.
