Recognized among the top video production companies in Canada, Your Story Agency is committed to assisting the next generation of film and video production students in succeeding. Here at Your Story Agency, we believe that money should never be a deterrent to following your dreams.

Students who are exceptionally bright and hardworking deserve to achieve their goals. Those passionate about film, whether it be video production, acting or anything in between, should not be deterred by a lack of funds.

We’re looking for students who demonstrate that they are dedicated to pursuing a career in film/video. We understand that the decision to pursue a career in film is not always an affordable option. That is why Your Story is here to assist and inspire current and prospective film students who wish to pursue this as a career.

We are offering the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship to all current post secondary students. Scholarship funds should be used for academic expenditures, including but not necessarily limited to tuition, books, school supplies or housing.

The 2025 YSA Student Scholarship will be awarded to 1 student deemed most worthy of all applicants. It is our way of giving back to the community and rewarding the future generation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE YSA SCHOLARSHIP

• All applicants must be Canadian or US citizens or permanent residents.
• All applicants must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher. If an alternative grading system is in place by the institution, this will also be taken into consideration.
• All applicants must still be enrolled in school and have at least one semester remaining to graduate.
• All applicants must participate in the community on a regular basis.

STUDENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• All applicants must submit an application, which includes a 1000-word essay describing their interest in the film/video production field and what they intend to do with their degree after graduation.
• You must list any honors or accomplishments that are particularly meaningful to you; three non-academic activities that are important for you; and any academic honors you have earned.
• Must submit unofficial transcripts
