About the HowToSaveMoney scholarship
HowToSaveMoney (a WeyMedia Inc. business) proudly announces its 3rd annual scholarship available to Canadian students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate studies.
We’re looking for a student dedicated to academic excellence, no matter what field of study they’re enrolled in.

The chosen student will be awarded $2,000 CAD which may be used towards the cost of their studies, helping them get a head start on their personal finance journey as young adults.
We get it. With tuition costs rising, textbook prices being as high as ever, all on top of being able to actually support yourself while getting an education, paying for post-secondary education can be a daunting task.

That being said, learning important money lessons and personal finance habits has become crucial to achieving financial independence without sacrificing your way of life.

Founded in 2010, HowToSaveMoney is dedicated to making sure Canadians live the life they want while meeting their financial goals by educating Canadian consumers on how to take control of their finances, find the best deal, and have fun doing it. We want to help students save on the things they love and learn valuable lessons along the way.

We truly believe that students are the future movers and shakers of Canada. Dedicated to their education, they’re working to be the next CEOs, politicians, activists, teachers, nurses, and more.

Scholarship qualifications
In order to qualify for this scholarship, the student must:

• Be a graduate or undergraduate student enrolled and attending a Canadian university or college, and in at least the second year of their post-secondary studies.
• Demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (or equivalent).
• Submit an essay in Word or PDF (tell us your relationship with money in 500 words or more).
• Be a citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

Scholarship deadline: October 7, 2022
