Jean Lu Memorial Bursary

Jean Lu immigrated to Canada with her parents when she was 9 years old and went on to study Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. After graduating she worked as a Security Analyst at Nortel, before joining the IT security team at Sheridan College where she worked for nearly 11 years. Jean loved to travel with her friends and family, so much so that her wedding was on a cruise ship. She had many interests such as painting, photography, reading, and baking with her daughter. Everyone who had been fortunate enough to know Jean will remember her beaming smile, kindness, and gentle spirit.

The Jean Lu Memorial Bursary will support students registered with Sheridan’s Accessible Learning Services to cover the cost of disability-related educational services and/or equipment needed to access curriculum.
