Faculty and Friends of Dr. Annie Smith

Dr. Annie Smith Scholarship Fund
Dr. Annie Smith was an artist, author and lecturer of art history, painting and drawing at Sheridan and an Associate Professor Adjunct at the University of Toronto. She developed and coordinated the Bachelor of Art and Art History Program offered jointly by the two institutions. The Annie Smith Arts Centre, home to the program’s painting and sculpture departments, is named in Annie’s honour. She had a passion for the outdoors in general, and sailing and tennis in particular. She passed away in October 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. A scholarship fund was established in memory of Dr. Annie Smith to support students so they may travel and experience art firsthand.
